Amanda Ortiz
About
Amanda Ortiz joined Aparicio Immigration Law in 2024 as an associate attorney. Amanda’s practice focuses primarily on removal and deportation defense and humanitarian-based immigration. Prior to joining our team, Amanda worked with unaccompanied minors and helped them apply for Special Immigrant Juvenile Status in the United States, including obtaining the predicate order from state court.
Amanda received her bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Northwestern University. During law school, Amanda participated in her school’s immigration legal clinic and was the president of the immigration law society. Since 2016, Amanda has interned at immigration-centered non-profits, including Florence Immigrant Refugee Rights Project, Frida Kahlo Community Organization, and The Resurrection Project. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her two rottweilers, family, and friends; traveling, hiking and going on walks.
